Study Tips
When reading these studies, the following
tips may help you gain the most benefit:
- Recognize that the original Word communicated by God to mankind
throughout the years is true and the words were spoken forth by men when they
received them from God (II
Peter 1:19-21)
- If you have not already done so: express agreement in your mouth
regarding the Lord
Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that
God raised him up out-from dead-people - thereby allowing God to
save you by means of the Lord Jesus Christ, placing the gift of holy
spirit within you (Romans Chapter 10)
- Allow the gift of holy spirit to work
within you giving you the spiritual understanding, etc (I
Corinthians 2:12-16 and Ephesians
Chapter 1)
- Look at the overall context of a passage of
scripture, for example: was the passage written to people living
during the old covenant
times (before the gift of holy spirit was first made available as
recorded in Acts Chapter 2),
or to those living during the new covenant times?
- Realize that there are passages that
contain certain figures of speech, idioms, and customs used and well
known by the people living during the time that the passage was
originally written
