John 21:1-3:
21:1After these-things Jesus manifested himself again to the learning-disciples on the Sea of Tiberias - and thus he manifested: .2Simon Peter, and Thomas the (man) being said (as) Didymus, and Nathanael the (man) from Cana of Galilee, and the (sons) of Zebedee, and another two from his learning-disciples were together. .3Simon Peter says to them, "I go to fish." They say to him, "We go also together-with you." They went-out and embarked into the ship, and in that night they apprehended nothing.
After the events recorded in John chapter 20, Jesus manifested himself again (he evidenced himself, brought himself to light, showed himself forth another time) to the students at the Sea of Tiberias (also called the Sea of Galilee; refer to John 6:1). It was in the following manner that he manifested himself to them.
During that past time, historically...
...used-to be together (at the same place at the same time).
Simon Peter says to them, "I am going to fish (actively leading myself under, in the sense of going without any argument, under cover, as animals go because they are under a yoke without going from side to side or intentionally stopping to do something else - I go to catch fish)." He was a fisherman along with the other men and he was going to work.
They say to him, "Emphatically we are going (in Greek there is a definite word for “we” plus the verb meaning “we go” giving emphasis – we ourselves are coming) also in conjunction with you."
They went out and embarked into the ship (went onboard, moved, entered the boat), and during that specific night they apprehended nothing (they seized, caught not one fish).

Verses 4-8:
.4But early (morning) already having come-to-pass, Jesus stood into the shore; yet-indeed the learning-disciples had not known that he is Jesus; .5therefore Jesus says to them, "Young-children, you do not have something towards-eating, do you?" They answered him, "No." .6But he said to them, "You must throw the net into the right parts of the ship and you will find." Therefore they threw, and they were no-longer strong to draw it from the multitude of the fishes. .7Therefore that learning-disciple whom Jesus loved1 says to Peter, "He is the Lord!" Therefore Simon Peter, having heard that he is the Lord, throughly-girded the outer-clothing for he was naked, and he threw himself into the sea; .8but the other learning-disciples went in the little-ship, for they were not distant from the land but as two-hundred cubits, hauling the net of the fishes.
After it had become early in the morning by this time, Jesus stood on the seashore, and emphatically indeed the students still had not known and continued not to know (perceive, see to the end of perceiving and knowing with/in their minds) that he is Jesus. Following-on logically, Jesus says to them...
They answered him, "No."
Jesus said to them...
Therefore the students cast their net into the right parts of the ship, and they spent time continuing not to have the inherent strength anymore to drag the net by reason of the multitude (a numerous amount of the fullness) of the fishes. Following-on logically, specifically the student whom Jesus was continuing to love (with Godly-love, specifically identifying the resurrected Lazarus in his physical/fleshy body not by name but by the love that Jesus had for him; he was not one of the twelve whom Jesus had selected for himself but Jesus loved him with God's kind of love - Lazarus) says to Peter...
Therefore Simon Peter, after he heard that he is the Lord, put on an outer garment as a girdle thoroughly securing it around himself for he was naked (he had taken off his upper garment previously while trying to haul the net full of fish into the ship and so he was ill-clad, not appropriately dressed to meet Jesus the Lord), and he cast himself into the sea to swim ashore to where Jesus was.
The other learning-disciples went by the little ship (a small boat from the bigger boat) - for they were not distant (far, a long way away) from the land (earth, ground) but contrary to being distant they were as 200 cubits (a cubit is one measuring-length from a man's elbow to the tip of his middle finger) - forcefully dragging the net of the fishes.
