Introduction to I, II, and III John
The letters (epistles) of First, Second, and Third John were
written by John who was one of Jesus' learning-disciples.
In Galatians 2:9, Paul wrote that John (along with James and Peter) was
considered to be a pillar within the church and a minister to the
holy-people (Christians) with a Judean/circumcision background.
Fellowship (sharing in common) with God and His son, the Lord Jesus
Christ, and behaving in accordance with the spirit of Christ within
every holy-person are the main subjects.
These three letters are generally thought to have been written either
between 60 and 70 AD or about 90 AD from Ephesus.
